WHAT WE DO
Urban Resilience Research Network (URNet) wants to offer a space for the dissemination of ideas, perspectives and events by providing a platform for exploring integrated and multidisciplinary perspectives on urban resilience and sustainability theory and practices, circulating inception-ideas, questions, proposals and encouraging collaborations among URNet members.
WHO WE ARE
Originally rooted in ecology, engineering, or social sciences, resilience has been linked to cities in a simplistic manner, in siloed approaches. URNet, in turn, is an international research community of academics, practitioners and consultants interested in understanding, exploring and broadening multidisciplinary perspectives on urban resilience.
WHERE WE ARE
Founded in 2010, the network now counts over 400 members, sprawled across more than 50 countries. URNet’s forthcoming regional hubs will be located in Arizona (USA), Montreal (Canada), Barcelona (Spain), and Hiroshima (Japan).
